Description Vasilis Lourdas 2005-11-28 11:48:40 UTC
Start Gimp. Open an existing image (for example a .gif file) and save it with a
new name. After saving, close the image and Gimp crashes with a glibc giving a
double free or corruption error.

Console output:
$gimp
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x083af068 ***
gimp: terminated: Aborted

(script-fu:10165): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read(): error

The memory address (0x083af068) is always the same.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Gimp
2. Open an existing image
3. Save using a new name
4. Close the image
Actual Results:
Gimp crashed.

Expected Results:
Not crash.

Running KDE 3.4.3

Comment 1 Vasilis Lourdas 2005-11-28 12:20:14 UTC
I 've just downgraded to v.2.2.8-r1 and the problem persists.
Comment 2 Vasilis Lourdas 2005-12-01 14:36:54 UTC
Found the cause of the problem. I use KDE 3.5 with the gtk-qt theme engine for
the Gnome applications to display nicely. After I changed the Gnome theme from
the "GTK Styles and Fonts" Control Panel item, the problem was fixed. I had
similar problems with Eclipse-sdk, which were solved following the same approach.

Marked the bug invalid. Sorry for the inconvenience.
