with some files it doesn't crash, with some it crashes immediately and with some
it crashes after about 2 seconds

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. play a video with gxine
2. switch to fullscreen using 'f' key
3. 

Actual Results:  
gxine crashes without leaving any messages

Expected Results:

Can you try with 0.5.1? Darren Salt (gxine's author) said that if this was 
leaving a "BadMatch 138" error, it would have been caused by DPMS disabled 
(and should be fixed in 0.5.1).

Try with newer version and reopen if it's still an issue.
