no real information there openssh does not link against openct nor include openct headers

Besides, openssh w/ USE=smartcard depends on opensc which depends on openct unless you have USE=pscs-lite...

sorry for the typo, the use flag is pcsc-lite
if you had posted that output the first time i could have told you that the reason it failed is that you had openct on your machine and opensc linked against it, but then you either removed openct or you upgraded it and thus broke opensc
