Description Jules Colding 2005-11-24 06:03:55 UTC
I can not boot my system when the newgen LSI MegaRAID driver is used instead of
the legacy one (which works). Kernel 2.6.14-gentoo-r2 will crash at boot time.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the LSI MegaRAID newgen driver instead of the legacy one
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Crash at boot

Expected Results:
The box should work...

I will upload a picture showing the crash when this bug is submitted. My SCSI
adapter is the LSI MegaRIAD 320-4X.

Comment 2 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-24 06:44:39 UTC
Is this reproducible on the latest development kernel? (currently
vanilla-sources-2.6.15_rc2)
Comment 3 Jules Colding 2005-11-24 06:45:56 UTC
Don't know. I'll try tomorrow.
Comment 4 Jules Colding 2005-11-25 03:26:59 UTC
2.6.15-rc2 from kernel.org works just fine. I assumed (and hoped) that it is
identical to vanilla-sources?
Comment 5 Daniel Drake (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-03 12:28:28 UTC
gentoo-sources-2.6.15 is now in portage
