The app-editors/nvu ebuild (version 0.90-r2) doesn't contain the file /usr/share/applications/nvu.desktop which means that the Nvu application doesn't show up in the Gnome menu. I will attach a file that I use. This file could(/should?) be added to the app-editors/nvu ebuild. From there, other Nvu users may provide national translations to complement the file.
