SIL International offers a patch for OpenOffice 2.0 to add support for 
graphite enabled fonts.  The greatly increases usability for writers using 
complex scripts that require special mark alignment, and other features.  I'm 
not sure if there are any real stability issues but it would be nice to have 
this option added (possibly a USE flag), or perhaps it should be added into 
the main build.

According to the website it's not really stable yet. I also wonder about the
availability of these fonts.

Also this is really something that should be reported upstream, new features
inclusion is not our "take"
