I'm not sure if this was a deliberate choice (and therefore not a bug), but the kdelibs-3.0.4-r1 ebuild contains the following dependencies: =dev-libs/libxslt-1.0.20 =dev-libs/libxml2-2.4.24 Should these be specified as '>='? Note, I'm using ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" and have newer versions of libxslt and libxml2 already installed. For reference, the (masked) kdelibs-3.1 and _rc3 ebuilds have the following dependencies: >=dev-libs/libxslt-1.0.7 =dev-libs/libxml2-2.4.24 I don't know if the older libxslt version specified as a minimum requirement here is a problem or not.
cf bug #11152. Hannes: is there a reason to ask for a particular libxslt version? For me all versions worked, only libxml2 caused these problems... We should remove the broken libxml2 ebuilds (just .26 I think) and then we can make the = dep a >= one again. Not right now though, falling asleep...
well, there was (is?) this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50799 i'm currently compiling kde*-3.1 with libxslt-1.0.22 and libxml2-2.4.28. when this is done, i will report about my success/failure.
well, compiling kde-3.1 with libxml2-2.4.28 and libxslt-1.0.22 worked here, we can remove the pinned down deps.
Done.
