These core system packages are not keyworded for MIPS, but have been working for two weeks on an SGI Octane running as a semi-public workstation. Please add ~mips to KEYWORDS. app-admin/showconsole-1.07 net-nds/yp-tools-2.9 net-fs/autofs-4.1.3-r4 net-nds/ypbind-1.19.1 app-emacs/lyskom-elisp-client-0.48 sys-auth/pam_krb5-1.0-r1 The newer sys-auth/pam_krb5-20030601-r1 does not work - using that always gives the error "Authentication service cannot retrieve user credentials" when trying to log in. However, all other Gentoo Linux machines on this Kerberos network also run 1.0-r1, so I don't know if it's a MIPS problem or a general problem with the package. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Portage 2.0.53_rc7 (default-linux/mips/mips64/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r2, 2.6.13.4-mipscvs-20050914 mips64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.13.4-mipscvs-20050914 mips64 R10000 V2.7 FPU V0.0 Gentoo Base System version 1.12.0_pre10 dev-lang/python: 2.3.4-r1, 2.4.2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.13 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r7 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r1 sys-devel/binutils: 2.16.1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.20-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="mips ~mips" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="mips-unknown-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mips4 -mabi=32 -fweb -ftracer -frename-registers" CHOST="mips-unknown-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/ share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb / usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/ share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mips4 -mabi=32 -fweb -ftracer -frename-registers" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig buildpkg ccache distlocks sfperms strict userpriv" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://mirror.gentoo.se http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://www. ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="mips X bash-completion berkdb bitmap-fonts bzip2 cairo cups expat fam gdbm gif idn ip30 jpeg kerberos lcms libwww mng motif ncurses nls opengl pam pcre perl png python readline sdl sqlite ssl tcpd tetex tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev unicode usb xml2 xv zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, MAKEOPTS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY
Two months later, said Octane (used daily as a workstation) is still not having any problems with these packages. sys-auth/pam_krb5-20030601-r1 does not work on an AMD64 on the same Kerberos network, so either that version or our network is broken. Either way, 1.0-r1 is the last version that I can confirm works on MIPS.
*** Bug 123303 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I added ~mips to the following packages: app-admin/showconsole-1.08 net-nds/yp-tools-2.9 net-fs/autofs-4.1.3-r4 net-nds/ypbind-1.19.1 sys-auth/pam_krb5-1.0-r1 The app-emacs/lyskom-elisp-client package pulls in the entire emacs wazoo due to our deprecated 2004.2 profile. Gonna leave that unkeyworded until 2004.2 is removed from portage in a few weeks, then we'll re-visit that package (or you can remind us by posting an update to this bug).
