Description Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-16 15:57:36 UTC
I updated to the newest suspend2-sources and after that sudo hibernate gives me
suspend2 failed (trying to restore) or something like that. After that it
returns to the same condition as where I issued hibernate. Hibernate has been
working great with sys-kernel/suspend2-sources-2.6.12-r6.

You can contact me on IRC if you need any more information.

As a Gentoo developer you should know better than writing a vague bug report
like that. You didn't even include the error message?

Closing until more information is provided.
Comment 3 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-17 08:40:20 UTC
Well sorry for opening a bit vague bug, but I wanted to have something open
because this is a stable version and someone else might have the same issue. I
am still in the process of enabling more verbose output because all the
information my current config gives is in the bug.
Comment 4 Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-11-25 08:17:01 UTC
You still haven't provided details about the nature of the bug, but please see
if you can reproduce it using sys-kernel/suspend2-sources-2.6.14-r4.

I will. As I said on IRC I enabled the most verbose output but it does not
provide anything out of the ordinary. It just fails to power down. I will test
the latest. I am not using my laptop every day so things recarding it take a bit
of time.

suspend2-sources-2.6.14-r5 works very well and hibernates faster than the
previous versions. Just need to get linux-wlan-ng working with it.
Comment 7 Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-11-27 08:07:31 UTC
Reopening.
Comment 8 Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-11-27 08:07:54 UTC
Closing as fixed then.
