If freetds is installed the ebuild of asterisk 1.0.9-r2 install a patch
asterisk-1.0.9-freetds.diff then the emerge of asterisk fail on compiling
cdr_tds.c on cdr subdir of asterisk-1.0.9.tar.gz with TDSCONNECTION undefined 

the .diff replace TDSCONNECTINFO with TDSCONNECTION
