There is a releatively powerfull database system known as Jade, which gives
oracle a run for its money.

Downloading is free, and developer liscences are free, it just costs you money
when you want to implement it on your clients machines.

Currenlty there are tar.gz's available for Suse And Redhat, and I dont see why
there cant be a ebuild developed for gentoo. Its not really a source based
package, but It would be nice to have some niceness.

No progress here for 1 year, closing WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen with an ebuild.
