I wrote this documentation.  There is also an html version that is roughly
similar.  I'm having realy troubles getting the xml to produce the html
automatically, using the xsltproc utility, even after reading the existing
howtos in the subject.

Any help would be appreciated so that I can perhaps edit/verify/improve on this
FAQ etc etc

Excellent -
Looks really good! I may make a PDA/PIM guide if this works out (there is info 
in the desktop guide involving a Palm, and that should be moved..etc). If you 
could please post the XML, I would be more than happy to take a look at it.
