Using both unstable (~x86) hal and dbus causes an emerge loop (each package wants to downgrade the other). Also, when switching from stable to unstable, two versions of each ebuild are listed for merging. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add ~x86 to both Hal and Dbus on /etc/portage/package.keywords 2.emerge world -uDvp Actual Results: Calculating world dependencies ...done! This is not related to gnome. I don't use gnome. Unstable hal wants to emerge stable dbus, and vice-versa.
Post the output of emerge -uDt world with dbus-0.50-r1 and hal-0.5.4 installed.
Aparently this is solved now. Sorry for not answering at the time, probably the change notification didn't pass the spam filter (it was a different mail account). Closing..
