Description Dror Levin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-26 09:36:10 UTC
The mozilla 1.2b ebuild does not add mozilla to the world listings.
Comment 1 Marc Doughty 2002-12-24 13:11:20 UTC
This can be marked as resolved, as 1.2.1 works and 1.2b is no longer in the tree
and should not be used.
Comment 2 Dror Levin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-24 13:22:19 UTC
True, but I emerged mozilla-1.2.1-r3 and still it does not appear in the world
file...
Comment 3 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-01-06 02:15:46 UTC
I second this. Some time ago I updated my mozilla-1.0.1 to 1.2.1 (I'm using
Gentoo stable, the update was provided through "emerge -u world"). However, I
had much stability-issues with Mozilla-1.2.1 so I added it to the package.mask.
The next "emerge -u world" succesfully downgraded the mozilla to 1.0.1. I was
afraid that the line in package.mask would disappear after the next "emerge
sync" (which it did), but apparently "emerge -up world" didn't list mozilla as
to be upgraded (again) to 1.2.1: mozilla wasn't (still isn't) registered in world!
Comment 4 Marc Doughty 2003-07-11 12:51:15 UTC
I think this can be marked as fixed now, as 1.3 and 1.4 builds seem to 'register' just dandy.

closing old bugs.
