gentoolkit-0.2.1 stable request bug.
gentoolkit-0.2.1_rc1 is in the tree and is ready to go stable. Since this package is utilized by all architectures, I would prefer to mark all architectures stable at the same time. Because of this, please note here when you are happy with it. Once all of the architecture teams are satisified, I will drop the rc? prefix and repackage it and mark stable. If any new bugs crop up, please open new ones and mark them as blocking this one.
I took a look at OPEN equery bugs and the list is quite long. I presume that the issues are also in the current stable release? Most of these seem to be marked as enhacements so I am not too worried. Is there a reason for bug 101377 to still be open?
The reason that most of the bugs are still open is that I have found that as soon as I close a bug concerning the stable version, someone will open a duplicate. All bugs that have been fixed in unstable have keyword InCVS. Given all of that, big 101377 is fixed.
tested on ppc works for me.
ppc and hppa are fine.
you've got my amd64 blessing
I will release rc2 within the next couple of days to address the bugs listed as dependencies.
(In reply to comment #7) Tried rc2 on a stable system. Compiled well and also seems to work well.
(In reply to comment #8) Forgot to mention: it's a x86 system.
Another x86++ for rc2 - works fine on a stable x86 box
I will be releasing rc3 shortly to resolve the latest bugs.
Maybe it's time to not try fixing all the bugs before going stable to get the fixes we already have to stable users?
This is the last round. I wouldn't have fixed the last one, except that it should have been fixed as part of bug 74569.
there is no app-portage/gentoolkit-0.2.1
gentoolkit-0.2.1 has been added to the tree
the fix for 76568 is relatively simple, but has been dangling for a while now.
I'm not going to put that one in 0.2.1, otherwise it will be February before I will be able to get 0.2.1 stable.
Archs: gentoolkit-0.2.1 has been in the tree as 0.2.1_rc4/0.2.1 since December 19 with no new bugs affecting stable systems. Please mark stable as appropriate.
