The timidity++ ebuild (timidity++-2.10.0.ebuild) seems to comment out this line: #audios="oss" Why is this done? There seems no way (via USE or whatever) to switch this feature on, which allows timidity to play directly to /dev/dsp. If this setting conflicts with something else (ALSA?) then maybe it should be governed by a USE variable rather than being simply disabled. I uncommented this line in my local portage directory and it seems to work just fine.
The uncoment modification works with the ebuild r1 version too.
ok ... there is a an oss use flag. so i will add that. when the use flag is set. then why is -r1 unstable and the other stable ? there are only changes in the build process ? jje ?
Commited ~x86 masked in -r2. Let me know if there are any issues. If not, we can move -r2 to stable. Thanks
