I have a yahoo.com email address. I log in. I'm presented with my "inbox", "draft", "sent", "bulk", "trash", etc. folders. Next to the listings "bulk" and "trash" is the word "empty"(as in "empty" the trash folder). In Konqueror, if I click on the "empty" by trash, it empties the trash folder. If I click on the "empty" next to the bulk folder, nothing happens! If I repeat these sequences in Firefox, each folder gets emptied. In Konqueror, I can go into the bulk folder and delete individual items. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in to your yahoo.com email account. 2. Click on word "empty" next to bulk mail folder. 3. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Bulk mail folder is not emptied. Expected Results: Bulk mail folder should have been emptied. If I click on "empty" next to the trash file folder, it will empty the folder. I have to open firefox in order to empty the bulk mail folder using the "empty" next to it. I'm currently using kde3.5-beta2. This problem has persisted through the kde3.4.x series. emerge info Portage 2.0.51.22-r3 (default-linux/amd64/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r2, 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.11-gentoo-r11 x86_64 Mobile AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ Gentoo Base System version 1.6.13 dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.12 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.90.0.1.1-r3, 2.15.92.0.2-r10 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/gentoo ftp://gentoo.netnitco.net/pub/mirrors/gentoo/source" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/home/bill/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage_overlay" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X a52 aalib aim alsa amarok amd64 apm arts avi bash-completion berkdb bidi bitmap-fonts bl bmp bootstrap browserplugin bzip2 cdda cddb cdio cdparanoia cdr chroot cpudetection crypt cups curl dar64 debug dga directfb dlloader dmx dts dv dvd dvdread edl emboss emoticon encode esd exif ext-png ext-zlib fam fbcon foomaticdb fpx freetype gcj gd gdbm gif gkrellm gphoto2 gpm graphviz gsm gstreamer gtk gtk2 howl httpd i8x0 ieee1394 imagemagick imlib immqt-bc ipv6 ithreads jack jack-tmpfs java javascript jbig jpeg jpeg2k kadmos kde kdepim ladcca live lm_sensors logitech-mouse lzo lzw lzw-tiff mad motif moznomail mozsvg mozxmlterm mp3 mpeg mplayer multicall multislot musepack musicbrainz ncurses network nls nptl nptlonly nsplugin objc ofx ogg opengl pam pda pdf pdflib perl png posix povray ppds python qt quicktime quotes readline real rrdtool rtc scanner sdk sdl silc skey smartcard snmp speedo speex spell ssl stream sysfs tcpd tga theora tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1 type1-fonts udev usb userlocales utf8 v4l2 visualization vorbis xanim xinerama xml2 xmms xpm xprint xv xvid xvmc yahoo zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS
Probably yahoo uses some javascript that Konqueror still does not support, or it does check the browser and failing to recognize a given useragent it does not work correctly. Bugs like these should be reported on bugs.kde.org, to let people working on Konqueror know. Feel free to reopen if there will be a patch to solve this (it's hard that it gets on 3.5.0 final).
