I was looking for a patch when I found that a new version of mpeg4ip (1.4) was released yesterday(09/nov): http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=18676&package_id=14086 I think a version bump might resolve the problem, so I'm reopening the bug asking for that.
1.4 is in the CVS.. it should appear on the rsync mirrors soon.
