Description Wolf Giesen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-08 08:03:14 UTC
Since the author decided to have no config option to disable the splash screen,
please use --disable-splash instead of --enable-splash by default. Or if you
feel it's an absolute must, introduce a USE variable :/

Splash screens are annoying as hell, and especially in a program that is not run
two times a day, but possibly tens or hundreds of times.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gimageview

Actual Results:
Program annoys me to hell

Expected Results:
Program makes me like it (it's a nifty thing after all)

Changed the ebuild and been happy ever after, but of course a new version would
need needless extra work.

Thank you :D

If it wasn't you, please pass my thanks upstream :) It's done with 1.3.1 as it
seems.

Looks like this has been fixed then.
