I was emerging amavisd-new, and MIME-tools was a dependency.
When it came time to merge MIME-tools-5.417, emerge spit out:

!!! No package manifest found: /usr/local/portage/dev-perl/MIME-tools/Manifest

I installed from the 2005.1 Universal CD
