This is a simple ebuild that has been tested on two x86 boxes (P3 w/ mostly 2004.3 system and AthlonXP w/ mostly 2005.0 system) and a ppc box (G4 installed with fresh 2005.1 install). It enables Python applications, such as a suite of educational software I'm developing, to translate human voice to text. Combined with PyFest (festival bindings for python, see #111388) a Gentoo box can interact with a human with voice alone, as is often necessary for children and some handicapped adults.
