Created attachment 79163 [details] synfig-0.61.03.ebuild This just bumps to ebuild to 0.61.03. There seems to be a problem with openexr, but it will compiled without the library.

Created attachment 81072 [details] synfig-0.61.05.ebuild Version bump with corrections. Will compile with OpenEXR.
Created attachment 81986 [details] synfig-0.61.05.ebuild I've cleaned up the dependencies. ImageMagick and libdv aren't actually needed at compile time, even if you enable them. The libraries for jpeg, png and tiff, on the other hand, are needed at compile time if you want support for them. fontconfig has been added too. The libdv and freetype USE flags had to be changed to match ones that already exist. Seems to work fine except for the libavcodec and ffmpeg support. I'm guessing that, as usual, the versions we're using are just too recent.
Created attachment 81987 [details] synfig-0.61.05.ebuild Better handling of docs and examples. Changed spaces to tabs.

(In reply to comment #38 and #39) There is no reason to use that version, please update to the last stable version, currently 0.62.00, using the ebuilds attached here.
BTW, there's a new release (0.62.01) out now: http://www.synfig.org/en/news/releases/89-release-06201 And thankfully it's in Sabayon already, the ebuild & patch (for libpng-1.4) just work for me (amd64) http://gitweb.sabayon.org/?p=overlay.git;a=tree;f=media-gfx/synfig;h=eca1bbbad58e7267001173d10d10cf17e945e501;hb=refs/heads/master Could someone maybe push that into sunrise, at least until someone volunteers as a maintainer? (Oh, and it' time again for a bug title change.)
And a small bump notice to 0.63.03... https://bugs.sabayon.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3021

Hello, everyone. It seems that at least one ebuild related to this bug exists in the Sunrise overlay at the moment. However, I have to regretfully announce that after a long inactivity period the Sunrise project has been discontinued and the related overlay will be eventually removed. For this reason, I'd like to ask you to reevaluate the ebuilds and consider moving them. If you'd like to maintain a package from Sunrise in Gentoo, please take a look at our Proxy Maintainers [1] project. Please make sure to take ebuilds from the unreviewed developer Sunrise repository [2] rather than the -reviewed one, since the latter has not been updated for over a year. While at it, please note that: 1. Adding a package to Gentoo requires declaring yourself as an active maintainer for it. All bugs regarding the package will be assigned to you, and you will be expected to maintain it. 2. Some packages may not be suitable for addition anymore. While there's no strong rules that would prevent you from adding a package, it may be a bad idea to add old-unmaintained packages that will shortly result in a large number of bugs reported with no solution. If that is the case, please close the bug as RESOLVED/OBSOLETE to make it easier to find packages worth adding. 3. Some of the bugs were already closed as WONTFIX/OBSOLETE/... while the relevant ebuild was kept in Sunrise. If you disagree with the original decision, you still can add the ebuild via proxy-maint. 4. Pleaes note that many of the Sunrise ebuilds are old and may be buggy. If you decide to move them, please make sure to update/clean them up. The proxy-maint team will also review your ebuilds, therefore making sure they land in Gentoo in good quality. Once again, thank you for your contribution. We hope that you will still want to contribute to Gentoo, through proxy-maint or otherwise. Not sure if that's an issue in the ebuild or with the synfig cmake configuration. Also, it may be helpful to rename this bug or something, as the bug name suggests that this is strictly for version 0.61.06
