checking for setupterm in -lcurses... sandbox: Caught signal 2 in pid 19090 /usr/portage/kde-base/kdeprint/kdeprint-3.4.1.ebuild: src_compile aborted; exiting Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge kdeprint 2. 3. Actual Results: checking for setupterm in -lcurses... sandbox: Caught signal 2 in pid 19090 /usr/portage/kde-base/kdeprint/kdeprint-3.4.1.ebuild: src_compile aborted; exiting Expected Results: kdeprint should have been compiled and installed. I had set some version levels for various kde related ebuilds in package.keywords so that I could build a newer version of KDE than the cutting edge. I specified specific version numbers back then. There were about 20-25 packages which I needed to unmask in this way to successfully build the version of KDE I was interested in. I just removed the version numbers of those entries in package.keywords so that I can try building the latest versions of those files. I'm thinking that perhaps there is more bug fixing going on at the cutting edge rather than down near the stable versions. Does it happen if you try again?
No idea about this old bug. Please drop a line, if this is still an issue for you, Joe.
