When I emerge "media-fonts/intlfonts-1.2.1 +X -bdf" and add it to xorg.conf (FontPath /usr/share/intlfonts/), my gtk+1 applications (xmms, audacity, nero linux) show in ugly windows. Haven't tried with bdf use flag turned on. See here: http://nic-nac-project.de/~gugu/intlfonts/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge intlfonts 2. enable them in xorg.conf 3. launch gtk+1 application FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/misc" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/Type1" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/terminus" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/ttf-bitstream-vera" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/ukr" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/artwiz" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/aquafont" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/TTF" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/corefonts" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/intlfonts" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/efont-unicode" FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/cyrillic" I'm using an utf8 locale.
