Description Kunio Murasawa 2005-11-01 05:19:57 UTC
DNS Recursive Name Server option and Domain Search List option, they option-code is wrong.
Therefore, it is not possible to communicate with FreeBSD KAME dhcpv6.
DNS Recursive Name Server option code is 25. But it is 23 in RFC3646.
Domain Search List option code is 26. But it is 24 in RFC3646.
I think that it is similarly wrong of DHCPv6-PD. I have not used DHCPv6-PD. (see RFC3633)

I want maintainer to set configure option, --with-opt-dns-resolvers=23 --with-opt-domain-list=24

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. dhcp6c -f -d eth0
2.
3.

Actual Results:
It cannot be communicated.

Expected Results:
The name server address is added to the file. The file is /etc/resolv.conf
