My modem it's an Intel 537EP. I was using kernel 2.6.11-r11 without any problem but after kernel upgrade (2.6.13-r3) the speed goes down to 33.6 without no posibility to increase it up. That inconvinient forced me to go back to 2.6.11-r11 waiting to the next version of 2.6.13 waiting that the problem was solved. Today 11-01-05 I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.13-r5 and the problem perssist forcing me to downgrade once again... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot 2.6.13-r5 kernel 2.Dial with wvdial or KPPP Actual Results: Connect speed indicates more than 33.6 but the transfer rate is only 3k, it does not happen with 2.6.11 kernel... modem drivers are the latest Expected Results: Connect to internet at normal speed, normally above 33.6

I mean the drivers available on intel's page
(In reply to comment #2) > I mean the drivers available on intel's page Well, then you need to complain to Intel, we don't have these in portage (only intel-536ep).
Marking UPSTREAM.
I donn
I donn´t understand why complaining to intel about this, because my problem is not about the latest drivers, with all intel drivers and kernel 2.6.11 the modem worked fine, the problem started with kernel 2.6.13. I tried with all driver versions on the web page and the result was always the same, the modem connects only at 33.6 with kernel 2.6.13
