Adding my two cents: For me, this bug masked the color-map
error (I eventually found that the color-map error was
something else [searching under "black menus" in the Gentoo
forums]).

Also, after fixing the config file "~/.gtk_qt_engine_rc" by
putting in the missing commas, it appears that restarting
firefox or galeon, or adjusting KDE themes, can cause the
system to rewrite this file, reintroducing this error.

For these two reasons, I don't regard the

    .gtk_qt_engine_rc:318: error: unexpected character `{'

error as "minor".

Uhh what package is this in?
Comment 3 Alexander Jenisch 2007-01-22 22:49:22 UTC
i honestly don't know, if it's really part of a package, or if it's created, when you use either:

x11-themes/gtk-engines-qtpixmap
or
x11-themes/gtk-engines-qt

my guess it's created, but i have no idea, how to find out, what created it.

with portage-utils installed you may do
qfile gtk-qt-engine

or with gentoolkit:

equery belongs gtk-qt-engine
