Description Adam Carheden 2005-10-25 15:10:12 UTC
ntpd doesn't seem to understand the -p flag used in the initscript even though
-p is in the man page.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge openntpd
2. /etc/init.d/ntpd start
3. Note the error

Actual Results:
 * Starting ntpd ...
/usr/sbin/ntpd: invalid option -- p
usage: ntpd [-dSs] [-f file]
 * Failed to start ntpd

Expected Results:
ntpd starts successfully with the PID file.
Comment 1 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-10-25 17:03:35 UTC
that ntpd is openntpd, not ntpd
