Expected Results:  
As the reporter of the bug the person contributing the ebuild will automatically
receive progress email any way.

Well, it depends on bugzilla setting, so I replaced it with some prose on it.
The paragraph might be a bit clumsy, but so was the original :-)

(Argh, this bugzilla's interface is really counter-intuitive, sorry for the spam :-\

Considering that we are talking about user oriented documentation here those who
change the email settings should already know what they are doing.

+Leave the <c>Assigned To</c> field blank. If you haven't changed
+Bugzilla's mail settings, you, as a reporter, will automatically
+receive email on bug updates.

I think this is ok. If you want to improve it, maybe use something like this:
As the reporter of the bug you will automatically receive email about any
activity conserning the bug. You can change this behaviour in the email
preferences of Bugzilla.
