From http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/ebuild-submit.xml Leave the Assigned To field blank, but if you'd like to track the status of your ebuild, enter your email in the CC field. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Expected Results: As the reporter of the bug the person contributing the ebuild will automatically receive progress email any way.
Well, it depends on bugzilla setting, so I replaced it with some prose on it. The paragraph might be a bit clumsy, but so was the original :-) (Argh, this bugzilla's interface is really counter-intuitive, sorry for the spam :-\

If you haven't changed +Bugzilla's mail settings, you, as a reporter, will automatically +receive email on bug updates. I think this is ok. If you want to improve it, maybe use something like this: As the reporter of the bug you will automatically receive email about any activity conserning the bug. You can change this behaviour in the email preferences of Bugzilla.
