Description Steffen Schwientek 2005-10-23 08:13:32 UTC
the gcompris compiles and installs cleanly, but it doesn't work at all. If I
try to rum it, it fails with an error.

I tried to compile the newer gcompris-package for myself, but this also fails
to start (not to compile) . I think this could be an issue for the underlying
software (python, sqlite, sdl).

I also tried to install gcompris as an klik package, which starts.

Same for me. It used to work before I upgraded my system. I supposed it stopped
running because "emerge --deep --update world) upgraded to python 2.4. I
recompiled gcompris without python (USE="-python" emerge gcompris), and runs
fine again.

disabling python support works around the crash for now.
