Description Yousef Shajrawi 2005-10-22 07:48:03 UTC
I've was doing "emerge --update --deep --newuse world"
the new (stable) wget (1.10.2) fails to emerge, it exits with the following
error message:
make[1]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/portage/wget-1.10.2/work/wget-1.10.2/po'
file=./`echo bg | sed 's,.*/,,'`.gmo \
  && rm -f $file && PATH=../src:$PATH /usr/bin/gmsgfmt -o $file bg.po
usage: msgfmt [ -dv ] [ - ] [ name ... ]
./bg.gmo: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [bg.gmo] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/wget-1.10.2/work/wget-1.10.2/po'
make: *** [po] Error 2

!!! ERROR: net-misc/wget-1.10.2 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 47, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge --update --deep --newuse world
2.
3.

Actual Results:
compiling wget fails, emerge exits.

Please use "New -> Gentoo Linux -> Component: Ebuilds" in future. Infrastructure
is not the correct addressee.
Comment 2 Yousef Shajrawi 2005-10-23 08:14:59 UTC
I fixed the problem by unmerging/re-emerging gettext
