Why is this package still being ignored after a year?
Created attachment 124330 [details] Update to a new beta (0.9.0) I hope this file works (it was made on Windows very quickly, but it was made on Notepad++, not Notepad). This is based on Odegard's last update. I changed the homepage to www.flock.com as mentioned in the postings, but I haven't made an ebuild in a while, so someone should probably check this for syntax correctness (both the name of the ebuild and the contents thereof). Hope all goes well. adam
Comment on attachment 124330 [details] Update to a new beta (0.9.0) p.s. this was made in response to pocm's comment that the ebuild was being ignored. maybe this will change things (though for some reason i think that unlikely).
Created attachment 125437 [details] Update to 0.9.0.1
Comment on attachment 125437 [details] Update to 0.9.0.1 Ignore this update, it's based on Adam Penser's ebuild but it's identical to Odegard's one, that I haven't seen before.
the filename /opt/bin/flock collides with /usr/bin/flock from sys-apps/util-linux
(In reply to comment #19) > the filename /opt/bin/flock collides with /usr/bin/flock from > sys-apps/util-linux > Couldn't it just be renamed to 'Flock' or 'flock-www' or something along those lines? Seems like a small detail to hold things up, and I don't think they're changing the name anytime soon...
I think we should rename it to flock-browser. But that means tweaking the startup scripts as well. I have just started to use flock as my default browser, to see if I like it enough now to keep using it. If so, I will take a look into fixing the outstanding issues to get this into portage. But for the moment I have other things higher on my todo list.
flock-1.1.1 is out. :)
Adding my vote to adding this to portage properly.
