Description Elad Bar 2005-10-21 11:57:41 UTC
I wanted to install gentoo with the GLI livecd on my external hard drive.
I had 2 ext3 partitoins I wasn't useing so I told it to mount one as / (root)

Whan I presed INSTALL, I got an erroe message that told my to report a bug.
I restarted my computer and found the I lost all the partitions on my external

It would have been nice if you had actually reported the first bug like it
asked, but oh well. Most likely, you've hit one of the ~6 partitioning bugs that
were present in the alpha release. All bugs that were reported have been fixed
in CVS ~2 months ago. Anyway, you can follow the directions at
<http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/releng/installer/faq.xml#newerversion> for
updating to the latest CSV snapshot and try again if you'd like. Alternatively,
we'll be releasing a new LiveCD with 0.2 of the installer very soon.

Moving to Release Media/Installer.
