GStreamer 0.8.10 have got problems with playing an mp3's here.. (in amaroK). I must everytime quit amaroK and run gst-register-0.8. Because amaroK throw a dialog: GStreamer cannot play mp3, or so.. :/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge =gstreamer-0.8.10 # and plugins with same version 2. emerge amarok 3. play mp3 Actual Results: Hm, I must say: echo "=media-libs/gstreamer-0.8.11" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords (and plugins too) and now it works great. Expected Results: Mark 0.8.11 with plugins stable on amd64, or mark 0.8.10 testing on amd64, 'cause 0.8.9 was good. is it only an amarok issue? ie with gst-plugins 0.8.10 can you do: gst-launch-0.8 filesrc location=/tmp/blah.mp3 ! mad ! alsasink ?
I can't, 'cause now I've got newer version - 0.8.11. :(
As reporter cannot reproduce anymore, I am going to resolve it NEEDINFO
I think the problem started when I was played a weird/broken/... mp3 in amaroK. But I dunno what is was...
