Description Dnix 2005-10-21 04:02:55 UTC
If evolution sits iconified in my taskbar while my sound is turned down i don't
get notified about new mail. So i wrote evonotify, a little gtk-perl script to
add panel-mail-notification to evolution using a filter

I've no interest in this

Seems that upstream homepage is dead and I think that current mail notification icon added in latest evolution does the trick. Maybe this bug should be closed :-/

I think likewise. 2.12 has it's own notification icon and 2.22 got a complete rewrite of the notification plugins to unify the (at least 3) ways to get notified of new mails and I really don't want to mess with perl.

A few things about the ebuild, it should really do everything without user interaction. It also misses RDEPEND variable. What's in DEPEND should probably be in RDEPEND and then add a DEPEND="${RDEPEND}". You might want to read http://devmanual.gentoo.org/
