Description Roel Brook 2005-10-19 17:55:06 UTC
The kde beta2 ebuilds seem to use the wrong filename. It tries to download files
with version "3.5.0_beta2" (such as kdebase-3.5.0_beta2.tar.bz2), while the
correct name is "3.4.92" (see
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/3.5-beta2/src/). This results in a "could not
download" error from portage when emerging kde 3.5.0 beta2.

Packages affected:
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdebase-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdegames-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeadmin-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdewebdev-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdegraphics-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdenetwork-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdemultimedia-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdepim-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeaddons-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeartwork-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdetoys-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeedu-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdeutils-3.5.0_beta2 [3.5_beta1]

P.S. sorry if this is a dup. I searched, but I'm not sure what to search for...

Comment 1 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-20 00:36:24 UTC
Works fine here. Make sure you have up-to-date kde eclasses
in /usr/portage/eclasses and that you don't have stale eclasses in some
overlay.

Comment 2 Roel Brook 2005-10-20 07:25:38 UTC
Thanks.

For people finding this bug: it was due to the gentopia kde eclass.

Just removing the eclass directory works (there's probably a better way then
removing them, but it works)
Comment 3 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-20 07:58:04 UTC
Ugh, I wonder why there is an eclass with the same name as the officail
repository in the overlay anyways. That's unsafe.
