emerging libherdstat-0.1.0_p1 (as part of updating herdstat) fails with the
following error:

hmm not sure how that happened.  It's as if automake wasn't run.  Anyways, I've
just thrown in an automake call for now just so I don't have to repackage the
release just for that.
