Hi,

I've decided to upgrade amarok from 1.2.x to 1.3.3 and it turned out that the
hardware mixer was removed. I'm totally lost why the developers have done that,
after all it was optional! :-O

I did some searching and I've found this patch:

Any chance of it getting into an ebuild?

We apply security patches etc., but not feature patches which are not accepted
by upstream. We maintain ebuilds, not the applications.
