after emerge the new version of mpd, the unmerge of mpd-0.11.5 stalls at the
line --- cfgpro dir /etc/init.d

I cancelled it and deleted the lock files, then tried unmerging again and the
same happened.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge -C =media-sound/mpd-0.11.5

Actual Results:  
console stops responding (logged into server via ssh)

Expected Results:  
unmerged successfully

Possibly a Portage issue?

Try with newer portage and reopen if still an issue.
