I've been running kontact to access kmail and kaddressbook etc, and have kmail set to use the systray. Consequently kontact is minimised to the systray when I click on the kmail icon there (good). Kontact has a default toolbar that a 'merge' item to include the toolbar icons from the app it has embeded. Unfortunately every time I bring the window up from the systray the icons any icons in the kontact toolbar that are positioned after the merged group get shifted along a bit further to the right of the window, untill they eventually get pushed off. I'm running kde 3.4, kontact 1.1.1, kmail 1.8.1. Closing kontact completely restores the original positions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click on the systray icon to hide the window 2. restore the window from the icon 3. observe the toolbar has changed Expected Results: toolbar icons should not have changed... Created attachment 70898 [details] picture of the toolbar icons getting spread :(
Probably this is not Gentoo-related, you should report it to http://bugs.kde.org.
