Summary says it all.  In the ebuild PYTHON_ROOT=/usr but on OSX it's more like
/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge boost
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
no boost python built

Expected Results:  
built boost python

this is now invalid:
 * 1.3.2 is not in the tree
 * PYTHON_ROOT is not set in 1.3.4x
 * using /System/Library/Frameworks would be undesirable except for coreaudio and the like

Try the one in prefix.  Personally I'd prefer to shoot boost (+ devs) off this planet.
