Comment 2 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-17 14:52:06 UTC
just to be clear, I'm co-signing this request -- the impact on interest
conflicts and whether I can vote for this or not I leave to my esteemed co-trustees.
Comment 3 Kurt Lieber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-18 05:43:47 UTC
I'm fine with this.
Comment 4 Jason Huebel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-18 22:03:42 UTC
This is exactly what Gentoo funds are for, as far as I'm concerned. I vote yes.
Comment 5 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-18 22:58:14 UTC
I'm all for it.
Comment 6 Grant Goodyear (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-19 10:22:07 UTC
Aye
Comment 7 Corey Shields 2005-10-19 10:56:56 UTC
yes from me as well. Also, I have the literature to send (and some extra
stickers IIRC).

Aye as well
Comment 9 Lance Albertson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-20 06:18:20 UTC
Aye from me
Comment 10 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-21 06:15:40 UTC
Sounds good to me. I'm for supporting this event.
Comment 11 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-25 11:31:30 UTC
I'll follow suit and accept this too.

I hope the Foundation gets some sort of proof that the financials are used for
the items discussed
Comment 12 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-25 11:37:58 UTC
According to the proposal, the foundation will directly be paying for
everything. It would be nice to be reassured that this is still the case.
Comment 13 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-01 10:41:38 UTC
I'd actually prefer if the foundation pays for everything. Logistically it seems
that a trustee would order those things requested (payable to the foundation)
and ship them to my house. Shyam will have details on whether my flight will
bring me into B'lore on time. As for the shipping cost from corey's house to my
house -- I'm sure Corey can get a receipt from the shipper?

Comment 14 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-02 07:10:59 UTC
Shyam informs me that my expected arrival date is the morning of the 28th.
Comment 15 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-02 07:12:55 UTC
Reading back it looks like from the get-go the proposal was to have the
foundation purchase things directly, instead of reimbursing anyone anyway -- so
I'm not sure where the reassurance bit comes from?
Comment 16 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-18 11:53:13 UTC
Well, this bug was filed on the 17th of October (1 day and 1 month ago), but the
promo materials are not complete. WE will not have posters or the t-shirts and
mug. Is there any possibility that the trustees will approve someone from the
foundation ordering the t-shirt and mug from cafepress and having them ship the
stuff to my house or work via overnight delivery or 2nd day air? I leave Boston
Tuesday and will make a short visit back in Boston on Saturday to fly on to India.
Comment 17 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-18 12:13:22 UTC

seemant:
I'm auditing our financial history, and I don't find any history of this in the paypal account. was it possible you were cut a cheque from NetBank, or one of the trustees at the time directly paid from the NetBank account?
Comment 20 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2016-08-28 22:19:53 UTC
Lacking any solid records, I have estimated this expense at $128.46, taking place on 2005/11/18 (FY2006). This excludes any other discounts or costs, but does include the shipping amount from seemant's comment.
