Description Stephen Bennett (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-13 07:48:55 UTC
Name: Damian Florczyk
Email: thunder@gentoo.pl
IRC nick: thund3r
Role: Gentoo/*BSD

Damian has been developing a Gentoo/NetBSD port outside of Gentoo's
infrastructure for a while now. It seems to be progressing nicely, so I'd like
to bring him on board to develop it on Gentoo infrastructure along with the
FreeBSD port. Commit access to gentoo-x86 access shouldn't be needed at first;
he can push commits there through Flameeyes or me, but at least ro access would
be appreciated, and he'll need commit access to gentoo-alt svn repository.
Comment 1 Stephen Bennett (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-24 09:59:25 UTC
His ebuild-quiz has been reviewed, and should have been sent to recruiters@ a
while back.
Comment 2 Brian Harring (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-27 12:44:49 UTC
ebuild-quiz is ok (including extra questions/clarifications thrown his way),
waiting on end of mentoring quiz to make it's way up to recruiters
Comment 3 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-09 15:54:28 UTC
As talked about with Pylon, he should get access to dev and svn groups, and
let him off gentoo-x86 until that is needed, and this is going to be the
standard for future Gentoo/ALT devs.

Comment 4 Brian Harring (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-20 19:39:28 UTC
Should be squared away, reopen if any issues.
Comment 5 Christian Heim (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-25 23:57:30 UTC
Dear Damian,

Possible retirement pending as you haven't shown any activity in the past two
months.

 - Last (viewable) bugzilla activity:
   150598: 2006-10-18 12:41:25
 - Last CVS activity:
   Tue Mar 20 21:37:48 UTC 2007

If you are just away, then please use the devaway system. Please be advised
that devaway may also be considered inactive if it extends past 60 days.

Please reply and advise on your situation. Any developer found to be
inactive for a period in excess of 60 days is subject to be retired. Please
be aware that if we have not heard from you within 2 weeks time, we will
begin the retirement process.
If we do retire you, it's pretty easy to come back when you are ready. Just
do the ebuild/end-quiz again and you're back on.

This also needs some clarification. #150598 is you mentoring someone. 141852: 2006-07-27 02:54:32 was the last *real* activity.
Comment 7 Damian Florczyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-26 06:31:25 UTC
Yeah i've just forgot to set my devaway, done.

Thank you.

Once again.

No bugzilla activity since 2006. No CVS activity since march 2007.

I talked to Peter Weller (welp), Gentoo/BSD project lead and he considers Damian missing in action.

First mail sent today. Let's figure out what's going on.
Comment 10 Damian Florczyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-18 07:56:26 UTC
rane .. did you missed history of that ticket ? please look at this again and then look at my devaway.
Comment 11 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-18 10:37:43 UTC
You have around 50 commits over almost 3 years. So many contributions can be easily done via bugzilla.
Comment 12 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-18 20:05:21 UTC
I talked to Peter Weller (welp), gentoo/bsd project lead, and he's fine with us retiring Damian due to his low level of contributions over past years.

Damian, you can continue your work using another developer as a proxy or posting it to the bugzilla. If your level of contributions increases significantly, we may consider recruiting you again.

For now, the amount of work you're contributing to Gentoo just isn't sufficient.

Infra, please start retiring Damian.

Infrastructure side of retirement has been processed. Sorry for the delay.
