Description Martin Ehmsen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-13 04:18:58 UTC
This is somehow related to bug 104358.
The new version of ipodder has several important fixes:
1. No need to manualy patch to work with wxpython 2.6
2. It doesn't crash as in bug 104358

It actually seems to be usuable now :-)
But it does need a new ebuild. I will attach one in a moment.
Please note that I have also marked it ~amd64 (since I'm on amd64 and don't wont
to be left out :-)

Reproducible: Always

Comment 2 Jose daLuz 2005-10-18 17:18:45 UTC
It does work pretty well, but every time it starts it wants to upgrade to
CastPodder for Linux 3.0. I don't know if there are any program changes but
apparently an Apple cease-and-desist letter caused them to change the name.

I can't get to the berlios.de site hosting development, they've been down for a
couple of days.

This is Scott the developer of CastPodder, once called iPodder for linux.
Version 3.0 is out and yes Apple went and got all Gates on us and forced us to
change our name so I forked away from the main tree and went my own way.

Berlios is backup but I am not sure for how long.

2 years later...

Accepting, looking at the ebuild and source relations right now.

Awaiting upstream fix on this:

Player Library has been removed in cvs now.
Also added the patch for 'multislot wxPython'

I wouldn't use the cvs version just yet because the version check has been up'
ed for next release.
