1. Boot Gentoo on a mac where suspend works and pbbuttonsd is instructed to suspend-to-ram on cover-close. 2. Log in. 3. Run powerprefs. 4. Confirm that the on-cover AC action is set to suspend-to-ram. 5. Close the cover == suspend-to-ram 6. Open the cover == resume 7. Run powerprefs. 8. Watch with shock and dismay as powerprefs shows you that the pbbuttonsd configuration has been reset and /no/ action is configured for either cover-close or timer or the power button ! Reproducibility: Every Time Actual Results: The first time after booting, suspend-to-ram works. After resuming, it never works again until /etc/init.d/pbbuttonsd restart Thereafter it works once more, and then never again, and so on ... Expected results: pbbuttonsd should remember its configuration across suspend-to-ram actions.
OK, looks fixed in ~ppc 0.7.2 . Let's hope it becomes stable soon ...
This will go stable as soon as it's been in the tree for 30 days.
