I had to add haldaemon to the usb group to make it support reporting the battery
percentage of my mouse's battery. It's a Logitech MX-1000.

I think it should be the default, so people don't need to investigate for 3
hours to figure out how to make HAL support their mice.

Which version of hal is this in regards to?  This is in 0.5.4 as of the 17th of
October.  Reopen if this isn't fixed for you.
