I am retro-reporting this in the Gentoo bugs so that Gentoo users are also made aware of this bug in OpenOffice-2.0.0 (rc1 & most probably rc2). Referr to the OpenOffice Issue 55628 (URL mentionned in this bug report). This is not a Gentoo bug per say but could be flasly seen as one (the bug exists in Windows too). It has been confirmed and is tagged to be fixed only in version 2.0.1 (which makes the application unusable for me at the moment). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: See mentionned URL One workaround, it would seem, is to only use the traditionnal swx format and not the .odt format (even though the problem is in editing and not save/loading...so be careful about this one).
Thanks for notifying, if you can provide a working patch, I'd add it, until then marking this as UPSTREAM
