Description Andy 2005-10-11 12:23:39 UTC
Ijust emerged gnome-2.12. Home directory is mounted over NIS. [lockd] is running
in both NFS client and server. However, whenever I start evolution I get a
dialog box saying:
"Error while Storing folder 'Inbox'.

Failed to get lock using fcntl(2): Resource temporarily unavailable
"
I presume it has something to do with NFS mounted home directory, however
previous version(s) worked fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start evolution 2.4.1
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Dialog Box appears after a while.

Expected Results:
Dialog Box should not be displayed

I have the same problem after upgrading to evolution-2.4.1 from 2.2.3-r3.
Comment 2 Owen Ford 2005-10-14 12:22:02 UTC
I have the same issue here but the filesystem is locally mounted.

Comment 3 Owen Ford 2005-10-14 16:31:16 UTC
You can take me off this list. I apparently had an instance of evolution crash
and I got this message (working remotely through vnc) until I got home and
acknowledge the crash diaglog box. That may be another bug entirely :)
Comment 4 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-14 12:51:58 UTC
please upgrade to evolution-2.6 ( just marked stable with GNOME 2.14 ) and re-open the bug if you can still reproduce it.
