I was able to build dclib and dcgui versions 0.2beta1 by hand. i added the following to both configure commands --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr This worked, and allowed for proper installation. I tried modifying the ebuilds and trying using emerge, with the same changes. This did not work. Any ideas? I also spoke with the main developer of dcgui, he said he will not be releasing beta2 in separate files. Does that mean we cannot add beta2 to the portage tree? Or can we make our own using the files from the dc beta2.

i just added beta4, please try that out
beta4 works for me. though i am looking at it now and there is only a beta5 for dclib. the first time i emerge qt-dcgui it worked fine. maybe the ebuild was removed after i did that? i was having some problems with it, but i managed to rebuild qt-dcgui by adding a > in front of the dclib dependency. that fixed the problems i was having. it looks like there is a beta5 for dcgui out as well. maybe we should go ahead and create an ebuild for that if its not in the works? this bug seems to be resolved to me, i'll let you decide if you want to close it out. its fine with me if you want to leave it open for the beta4/5 mismatch. thanks, -adam
i added beta5 and removed beta4 just rsync and you should have beta5 for both dclib and qt-dcgui have fun ;)
