I have on two diffrent servers two diffrent IMAP-accounts but with the same problems with tha latest versiona of evolution (started when I tried gnome 2.11.90, still there now). I can read mail from ALL folders on the account (like sent and alike) EXCEPT the Inbox. I got the new-message-count and all, so the inbox is readed from the server, but I can't get the messages to appere. I have cleared ~/.evolution and reconfigured but that did not help. After an reinstallation of Gentoo (other reasons) (kept my ~ intact) it still does not work. gnome-extra/evolution-data-server-1.4.1 mail-client/evolution-2.4.1 +crypt +dbus -debug -doc +gstreamer -ipv6 -kerberos -krb4 -ldap +mono -mozilla -nntp -pda -profile +spell +ssl -static Any ideas? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Configure a IMAP account in Evolution 2. Click on the Inbox (the other folders works) in the tree-view Actual Results: Evolution shows I got unread messages, but it does not list ANY messages in the right field. Expected Results: It should show the messages laing around in my Inbox. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318522 Seems to be the same problem.
As a bit of side info, I am pretty sure evolution had this problem in the past. It was a major reason I abandonded it for a long time. I'm not really sure where to search for that info, but maybe someone who does know, can peek around and perhaps find the same issue, and whatever was done to fix it. I'll try when I have it merged, I already had the merge die on me once. So i'm trying to merge again.
This is marked as fixed in evolution-2.4.2, please upgrade if still having the problem.
